How It Works

1. Choose Your Craft + Date

Select your raft, tube, kayak, or canoe and reserve your launch time online.

2. Arrive Early

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled launch time to complete the check-in process.

3. Head to the River

We’ll drive you to the appropriate put-in location and review safety expectations before you launch.

3. Enjoy the Float

Our standard float route averages approximately 3 hours, depending on river conditions, group pace, and stopping.

5. Wrap Up at Brookdale Farms

Return to our designated take-out location and finish your day right back where you started.

About Our Floats

  • Float length for rafts & tubes are 4-miles and take an average of 3 hours to complete.*

  • Canoes and kayaks are 11-miles and vary in average time to complete.

  • Canoes, Rafts, Float Tubes, & Cooler Tubes available to rent. Book a 8-person or 6-person raft, float tube, and don't forget the cooler tube! Canoes available to rent for limited dates/times.

  • Float Trips are open for Ages 3+ (with Parental Supervision if under 18)

    • Ages 3-12 are only available to be passengers in Rafts.​

    • Ages 13+ can use Rafts, Float Tubes, Canoes, and Kayaks (with supervision if under 18)

    • Anyone under 13 must provide their own life vests.

  • Floats fill up quickly—book in advance! All reservations must be made online. No walk-ups accepted.

  • Personal vessels can be launched with Brookdale Farms but only by availability. Please email with inquiry.

*Float length can vary an additional 2-3 hours based on river conditions, route, the type of rental, and the frequency of stopping. 

**Canoes & kayaks launch from Pacific Palisades. Rafts & tubes launch from Allenton.

Before You Book

Before you book, please review our Float Trip FAQ's and Things to Know Before You Float.

Don't forget to download the Float Trip Release Form prior to your arrival.

After you book, you will receive an email confirmation verifying your purchase. If you do not receive it, please check your SPAM folder.

Policies:

Cancellation & Rescheduling:

The safety of our guests and staff is our top priority.

In the event of flooding, severe weather, unsafe river conditions, or other acts of God, Brookdale Farms reserves the right to cancel or reschedule float trips at any time. If a trip is cancelled by Brookdale Farms due to these conditions, guests will receive a rain check or credit to use toward a future booking. We appreciate your understanding as safety remains our highest priority.

Weather Policy:

Float trips run rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by our staff. In the event of a cancellation due to weather or river conditions, guests will be offered a reschedule option.

Arrival & Check-In:

All guests must arrive on time for their scheduled float. Late arrivals may result in forfeited reservations without refund. A valid ID may be required at check-in.

Group Responsibility:

The booking guest is responsible for ensuring all participants in their group are informed of and agree to all policies, waivers, and safety guidelines.

Age Requirements & Supervision:

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The reserving guest must be authorized to accept responsibility on their behalf.

Safety & Conduct:

Guests are expected to follow all safety instructions and respect staff, property, and other guests. Brookdale Farms reserves the right to remove any guest who does not comply, without refund.

Float Trip FAQ

Things to Know Before You Float

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

  • Preseason booking is for Canoes & Kayaks ONLY. The first day to be on the water for preseason is March 9, 2026.

  • Float season booking will open in mid-late February. The first day to be on the water is May 18

  • Our float trip schedule fills up quickly, so it’s best to book your float in advance.

  • All reservations must be made online.

  • If you can not book a select date, it is because inventory is sold out.

  • Float Trips are open for Ages 3+ with Parental Supervision.

    • Ages 3-12 are only available to be passengers in Rafts.​

    • Ages 13+ can use Rafts & Float Tubes

FLOAT TRIP TIMING:

Float trip times vary, based on the float device. Please be aware of your start time and do not arrive late.

 

Float trip lengths vary based on river conditions, type of rental, and frequency of stopping.

 

You MUST arrive 30 min. prior to floating time at the Eureka Floats Check-in near the Boat Ramp Parking Lot.  If you do not arrive on time, we reserve the right to give away your rental to walk-in guests. 

FLOAT TRIP DELAYS AND REFUNDS:

No refunds once purchased.*

 

On rare occasions, it is possible there will be up to a 90-minute delay to start your float trip, even if you have a reservation.

*Please Note: We monitor the river conditions daily and, if we deem the river level unsafe, we will give as much notice as possible to notify you of the cancellation. If we have to cancel due to river levels, we will work with you to reschedule for another date or offer a refund.

FLOAT TRIP ROUTES:

Rafts & Tubes: 4-mile Route, which averages approximately 3-hours of float time. 

FLOAT TRIP PARKING:

Once you're on Twin River Rd., please follow the signs "Eureka Floats." If you're coming from Highway W, the entrance will be on your left hand side.  

FLOAT TRIP FOOD:

Feel free to bring your own coolers with food and drinks; but remember NO GLASS CONTAINERS ARE PERMITTED.

FLOAT TRIP RESTRICTIONS:

Due to our insurance policies, dogs are NOT allowed on our float trips.

NO glass containers are permitted. 

FLOAT TRIP RESERVATIONS:

We often sell out of rentals.  Advanced reservations are required.
